William T. Yorio joined United Realty in May, 2012. His career spans over 50 years and includes brokerage positions with Douglas Elliman & Co., Brown Harris Stevens, and Cross & Brown Co. in Midtown NY. He also spent 2 years in the real estate department of Loews Corporation.

In 1981, Bill decided to work in the suburbs and was hired as Vice President at Cushman & Wakefield’s Long Island office. At Cushman & Wakefield, he was the top producer for most of the 22 years of his employment. In 1995, Bill was promoted to Branch Manager/ Managing Director. In 2001, Bill joined Corporate National Realty as a Partner where he spent 11 years until his Partnership was dissolved.

Bill has leased or sold in excess of 15 million SF specializing in tenant representation. Noteworthy accomplishments include the sale of the NY Chiropractic College Campus in Brookville to St. Francis Hospital (52 acres); the build-to-suit sale of Rolls-Royce North American headquarters (90,000 SF) in Lyndhurst, NJ; the sale of a warehouse distribution center (175,000 SF) to Maurice Villency, Inc. in Jericho; the sale of Doubleday’s headquarters in Garden City (131,000 SF); and the 74,000 SF office condominium sale of 71 Clinton Road, Garden City to Nassau BOCES for their Administrative Headquarters.

Significant office leasing accomplishments include Aetna Insurance Company (148,000 SF) at the World Trade Center; 40 transactions totaling 240,000 SF on behalf of Ford Motor Credit throughout the northeast; IBM (47,000 SF) at RXR Plaza, Uniondale (nee EAB Plaza); Crawford & Co. (67,000 SF) at 105 Maxess Road, Melville; and The Estee Lauder Companies (66,000 SF) at 145-155 Pinelawn Road, Melville. 

In addition, Bill has concluded 22 medical leasing transactions for practice locations across Long Island on behalf of Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island (in excess of 150,000 SF); and on behalf of Island Eye Surgicenter (26,000 SF build-to suit Ambulatory Surgery Center) on the 2.98 acre property located at 1500 Jericho Tpke in Westbury.

Bill is a former officer of the Real Estate Institute at C. W. Post College, a past recipient of Reckson Associates Office Broker of the Year Award, past President of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of LI (CIBS), and a member of the CIBS Advisory Board. He was also the 2003 past recipient of “The Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Award,” presented by the Association for a Better Long Island, for engineering the 74,000 SF office condominium sale of 71 Clinton Road, Garden City to Nassau BOCES from Jan Burman.

Bill has three adult children and resides in Manhasset with his wife of over 45 years. His interests include golf, skiing, working out, and carpentry.
